Blame It On Luke
Copyright © 2001 by michael
~
If people are the problem
the places won't mind,
the heartache we found
passing through them blind.

With a goodbye then
luke warm at best,
hearts pounding like drums
beating in our chest.

Sometimes it was rough
just pulling through,
pulling through enough,
but though it was rough
what can you do ?
~
When liberty's the driver
sometimes you feel small,
the heartless unruly
sale at the mall.

But there is a season
repentant, sublime,
redeeming us now
out of time.

At times it's been rough
just pulling through,
pulling through enough,
but though it was rough
what can you do ?
~
Blame It On Luke,
blame it on him,
he was no good,
not really anyway.

Blame It On Luke,
blame it on sin,
if you blame it on truth
don't count me in.
~
Like the blue rain
beating down
from a poem,
one I read
in reading class.

If I am bleeding now
it won't be forever,
too long that lament
has kept me from
being my best.
~
We'll Blame It On Luke yeah
we'll blame it on him,
he was no good,
no, not really anyway.

So Blame It On Luke
or blame it on sin,
if you blame it on truth
you'd better count me in.
~
So Blame It On Luke,
blame it on sin,
but if you blame it on truth,
you better count me in
with the One who

spoke the blue water,
wind and the sky,
land on our heart,
light in our eye.

Speak Thy Word
no tounge can show,
the gift of Your Son,
Spirit to know.
~
It must have been rough
just pulling through,
pulling through enough,
but while it is rough
that's what you do.
