Aceking.org began as the dreamchild of successful backgammon player Beerhat Mcfly, who started the project in early 2005 after a chance meeting with old friend and web designer Ken Biller. They agreed upon a division of labour under which Biller would handle all technical aspects of the site, leaving Mcfly with the freedom to concentrate on providing the very best in educational poker material.
Riding the wave of poker's ever increasing popularity since it started, Beerhat Mcfly has been a consistent online player since 2001, and as such has acquired vast playing experience of online poker in all its forms. Mcfly started AceKing.org with the vision of creating a place to share the considerable insider knowledge that he had amassed from living internet poker for the previous four years.
One year later, it has become the premium source of insightful articles, expert tutorials and direct pro feedback for all issues relating to online poker competition.
However, not content to simply be the sole voice of AceKing, Mcfly has brought to the site some of the most masterful and adept pros alive and playing today.
Anthony Morrison, master of Stud8 and AceKing columnist was scouted by Beerhat in the upscale housing estates in the RTP and Queen City area, where he regularly can be seen playing a game of $400/$800 forced rotation. While Mr. Morrison is gifted in a wide array of games, it was his stud (particularly stud8) game that made a real impression on Mcfly. Indeed, when Beerhat first saw Anthony consistently winning stud games despite being faced with a truly daunting opposition, he knew that Morrison was the real deal. Apart from poker his hobbies include sports betting and playing bass. When he's not playing poker he likes nothing more than to kick back with a few Led Zeppelin records.
Juan Robinson made a name for himself playing the hazy halls of the legendary Mayfair Club since the early age of 13. Despite his obvious talent for the game he has often remarked on several occasions in which he nearly lost his life after failing to pay back borrowed money. Although he is a gifted player in all games of poker, he has often struggled with drug addiction and personal problems. Nevertheless after enduring 3 months of detox treatment, Robinson has remained clean and has never shown finer form. He is also well known for his extraordinary natural ability in gin rummy, and an uncanny ability to put an opponent on a hand. Outside of card playing, he enjoys playing basketball and walking his three dogs, Judy, Sandy and Marvin.
We hope your stay at AceKing will be both enjoyable and a valuable learning experience. Have fun and remember to check out the live chat, it might just save your life!
