HORSES
This is my baby Chrome. He's a 20 year old quarter horse paint. You can't really tell he's a paint, but he does have one white spot under his belly. He's very stubborn and cranky, but I don't mind. He lives at my grandpa's farm with Lori's horse, Smokey.
This is Lori's Second baby Smokey (First one, sadly had to be put down :( ) He' so funny. I took several pictures of him in the various stages of rolling in the nice dirt patch that is in the pasture.
I find this picture amusing because Smokey looks like he's asleep. In reality he is getting ready to roll back over on his other side. Notice how dirty he is. I've lost count of the number of times I've seen the horses roll in the dirt spot right after they have been brushed or had bathes. Every single time. It's almost like clock work. They sniff. Make a circle. If it's Smokey he'll paw at the ground to turn up fresh dirt. Then down they go.
Isn't she the cutest?
This is Lori's newest baby. Her name is Rose. She'll be a year old on May 1, 2003. I think Lori is going to get her registered.
Here's my baby and Lori's baby together. They look like they could be related. Look at the white faces. I find it very amusing that they are so similar.
Here's all three members of our small herd. They don't yet get along but hopefully soon they will.
CATS
This is Barney. Named after Barney Fife. He's a year old. His hobbies include attacking unsuspecting feet from under chairs and beds, playing with milk rings and terrorizing Kizzy. His dislikes include attention of any kind and being stepped on by Sandy (the dog).
DOGS
This is my dog Sandy and her friend Tia from down the street. Sandy is 7 years old and in this picture Tia wasn’t even a year old yet, I don’t think. They loved playing in the snow. My dad would run around the house and the two dogs would follow and he’d do a quick turn around a tree and Tia would always circle wide and Sandy would circle tight. Tia was a little clumsy but she was very nice. We called her Bear because she acted and ran like a bear. She couldn’t really stop very easy so a lot of the time she would run into us. Unfortunately she was stolen. Now sandy doesn’t have any doggie friends to play with. :(
This picture was supposed to be taken farther back. She was farther away and I wanted her to look at me, but of course when I called her name she did what any obedient dog would do and came to me. So she got right up to the camera. It's cute though.
IGUANA
This is my little sweet heart iguana Jade. She's sadly got some health problems but hopefully they'll get better and she'll get big enough to put a leash on and take outside.
