Kotzebue Softball Association was formed in 1990.

Softball, in Kotzebue, is a major attraction during the summer. Due to the long periods of sunlight, the games are held during the evening on weekdays. Each team, that participates in their league, gives it their all making the games very competitive.  

Each team plays an average of three games per week.

The Rule Book that the Kotzebue Softball Association uses is the Alaska Amateur Softball Association Rules & Regulations.

The awards that are given at the end of each season are:

• 1st Place
• 2nd Place
• 3rd Place                                    
• Sportsmanship
• MVP
• All-Star team
