Looking for a Korossy? We can help by letting you post a few words on this page. Please email the text you would like to post to background@korossy.com

This is a follow-up to the posting by Aliran Korossy. I am looking for a cousin who was born to my uncle Jozsef Korossy and his oriental wife. Jozsef Korossy was a commander in the French Army in Indochina and all I know is that his tent was blown up. My understanding is that he left behind a wife and a child. My father Steve Korossy was the youngest sibling of four. There were Miklos, Jozsef, and a sister Irma.

My mother was Jelena Korossy before she married, she passed away in 1978. However I would like to piece back some of my family history, The big problem for me is I cant speak Hungarian, or read Serbian, which are what most of her documents are in. If any one can assist with relatives in the Novi Sad, Subotica and in particular Sremski Karlovci ( just out of Novi Sad ) region of Yugoslavia it would be appreciated.

kindest regards,
