Rules and Conflict Resolution
These are the class rules which compliment, but are not exactly the same as, the school rules. The students are introduced to the rules at the beginning of the year and sign them to say that they understand and will follow them.
Room 111's Rules
- We always keep our hands, feet and objects to ourselves.
- We follow the directions given to us by teachers and other adults in the school.
- We listen actively to our teacher and our classmates.
- We are kind, helpful and respectful to everyone.
- We always try our hardest, and we complete our work.
We always RECOGNISE good listeners, PRAISE good behavior and THANK people who are helpful and kind.

Conflict Resolution
- If we are beng bothered by another student we follow these steps:
- 1 Ignore (that person)
- 2 Move (away from that person)
- 3 Communicate (by telling that person to stop, and why)
- 4 Tell (the teacher- ONLY after following the first three steps, OR immediately if that person is being unsafe, or using violence)
The most important promise we can make:
I promise I will never hurt anyone on the inside or outside.
