In a scenic 45 minute flight from Anchorage, our guests travel from Alaska’s largest city to the wilderness of Iliamna. Our lodge sits on the shores of Alaska’s largest freshwater lake – Lake Iliamna, home to several species of salmon, fish, and the mysterious Lake Iliamna monster. The vast Lake Iliamna is only one of our many fishing locations. In a short drive, our guests fish along the shores of the pristine Newhalen River. For the serious fisherman, we offer floatplane service to wherever the fish are! In addition to world class fishing, guests have the opportunity to hunt for some of Alaska’s “Big Five." A short 30 minute flight takes your to our remote camp in the wilds of Alaska where you can hunt for caribou, black and brown bear, moose and wolf.
Enjoy the comfort of our cedar log accommodations at Karl’s Alaskan Remote Lodge. Our units sit on the shore of Lake Iliamna providing breathtaking views of the Aleutian Range. Listen to the soothing sounds of water lapping on the pebble beach just 10 feet from your front door. We offer 1 and 2 bedroom units, each equipped with full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, and comfortable furnishings. In the main lodge, our chef will satisfy the hungry adventurer with Alaskan cuisine. All meals, including our famous shore lunches and camp meals, are included in our adventure packages.
