The Taste of Autumn
Hi! This is Jessica again. Thank you for visiting my web page. This time my links really do work! I think that Autumn is a beautiful time of the year. It is the season to sit back and relax after the long summer. During this time I love to bake. My personal favorite autumn recipe is Pumpkin Muffins. Try this recipe, I know you will like it! Preheat your oven to 400*. Mix 1 3/4 cups flour, 3/4 teaspoon salt, 1/2 cup sugar, 2 teaspoons double-acting baking powder, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and 1 teaspoon nutmeg. Mix in a separate bowl 2 eggs, 2 to 4 tablespoons melted butter, 3/4 cup milk, and 1 cup canned pumpkin. Combine the liquid and dry ingredients with a few swift strokes. (You may also add 1 cup chopped nuts and/or 2 teaspoons grated orange rind.) Fill your well greased muffin pans 2/3 full and bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Enjoy by themselves, or warm with butter or whipped cream. Happy Autumn!

THE ROAD NOT TAKEN
- Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
- And sorry I could not travel both
- And be one traveler, long I stood
- And looked down one as far as I could
- To where it bent in the undergrowth;
- Then took the other, just as fair,
- And having perhaps the better claim,
- Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
- Though as for that the passing there
- Had worn them really about the same,
- And both that morning equally lay
- In leaves no step had a trodden black.
- Oh, I kept the first for another day!
- Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
- I doubted if I should ever come back.
- I shall be telling this with a sigh
- Somewhere ages and ages hence:
- Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--
- I took the road less traveled by,
- And that has made all the difference.
