Trapped
She sits down slowly, still unsure,
She can’t remember life before,
When she was happy for a time,
When she would easily feel fine.
Now it’s all just tears and woe.
She can’t escape wherever she goes.
She just wants to reach out and touch your hand.
She wants to feel someone loved and sound.
She tries too hard to stop tears from falling,
It’s like she can’t hear you calling,
Explaining that there is a way,
And pretty soon she will be okay.
She’s switched off from the world outside,
She only wants to be able to hide.
She asks for no help, she wants to be alone,
She wants to end it all in her own home.
Say goodbye to those who care,
To everyone else, you’re just not there.
Easily gone, no looking back.
She’s taken the hard way out from being trapped.
