No Lead

I thought I was in love with you,

But it was just a lie.

Now all the hurt between us both,

Can only make me cry.

The feeling it was never true,

But I believed that it was there.

A drop of hope was in my sight,

I believed you only cared.

Now I stand out of view,

The ground below me, gone.

I’m standing all by myself.

With no love to lead me on.
