Ground
Look into the mirror and what do you see?
A tear streaked face, a girl left to be.
A happy ending perhaps, but that’s not for her
She’s too sad to see the end, but somehow it’s still there.
A tunnel with no light at the end,
The journeys too long, there’s never a new bend,
To see a new beginning, perhaps a new life,
But ending it now cuts the pain like a knife.
She just wants a way out, any will do,
Afterwards people will say they were the ones to turn to.
But at the time of need they weren’t around,
They weren’t able to pick her up off the ground.
