In addition, the guest cabins are mostly log buildings located right along the banks of Lake Creek. Each cabin has handmade quilts on the beds as well as hotel-quality linen and bedding. The Fishing
Fish for king salmon (Chinook) in June and early July. Also in July, fish for northern pike, rainbows and grayling until the silvers (coho), chum and pink salmon arrive near the end of the month. August is devoted to silver salmon with pinks and chums in abundance. Although rainbow and grayling are in the stream all season, mid-August through early September is the peak season for these species. Wilderness Place Lodge’s guides are well versed in all aspects of both spin fishing and fly fishing for Alaskan species. The lodge has a fully-equipped tackle shop with high quality rental equipment for both spin and fly fishing. Those anglers new to fly fishing will find careful instruction readily available from the lodge’s staff. The lodge has a completely equipped fly tying bench. They can assist anglers in creating any of the popular Alaskan patterns. Guided Float Trips on Lake Creek
Guests experience some of Alaska's best salmon, rainbow trout and grayling fishing on a remote river near majestic Mt. McKinley (Denali). The lodge offers custom-tailored deluxe trips during prime fishing weeks for king salmon, silver salmon and rainbow trout on Lake Creek and other nearby rivers.

A trip begins with either floatplane or helicopter transportation to a starting point on a small remote creek south of the Alaska Range. Guides await the arrival of guests at the first nights' camp. A nourishing dinner is prepared on arrival. Guests can get into fishing gear and fly fishing action the first hour on the river. The lodge's deluxe camp includes such amenities as expedition-style tents with two anglers per tent, sleeping cots with Camp Rest pads and a large dining tent for evening activities in inclement weather.
