The Cathy Parmelee Shrine

Cathy Parmelee, lovingly referred to as "Mom," has been selflessly giving her all to keep her children happy for almost 17 years. In this time, she has dealt with everything from her children's brief stint with arachnophobia to my constant pestering for a solution for defeating the Grue in Zork. Of course, no one has all the answers.

When she's not killing spiders or explaining that it has been a very long time since she's played Zork (and she's not really sure what a Grue is anyway), Mom employs her beautiful writing and mastery of the English language in service of God. Projected sales for her book range in the infinibillions. So great is her writing, that a number must be made up.

Cathy Parmelee is what one calls a "Mother for God." Jesus dwells in her beautiful heart and she lives every moment for Him. Her service, love, and desire for the Lord is awesome.

Of course, Mom couldn't achieve all that she has without her vast intelligence. No mother is better suited for helping their children decipher quadratic equations or make a beautiful poster explaining 10 different chemical elements.

It's not only her intelligence, but also her spirit, that makes Cathy Parmelee an encouraging mother. Without her support, I would never have the "gusto" to go out and learn the skills that make me employable in today's competitive job market. Mom has a spirit of praise and heartening that will surely push all three of her children to success in the future.

If Mom had a more international presence, she would surely have a world-wide fanbase, shouting her praises and demanding her autograph. That's why it is an honor to be able to "build" this shrine for her. If it weren't for her 17 years of unselfish love and support, there is no way I'd even be in a place to do so.

I love you, Mom. Happy Mother's Day.
