This picture of Henderson Field was taken very shortly after the field was wrestled from the Japanese. The landing strip is shown at the middle of the photo and the building used for the control tower can be seen a little to the left. This building is shown below and is in higher definition and can be enlarged easily.

The pilots can be seen resting between combat and look like they are enjoying the shade. Even the sign over the door can be read as Henderson Field - Under Marine Control - at least, that's what it looks like to me.
