Canada

* * * W A R N I N G * * *

The following is a very lengthy document and do not attempt to read this if your connection is 28.8k or less 56k is minimal and even that is pushing it.

The following is the current list for the Canadian team. It contains everything that you will encounter on D-day. Note that they are constructed as a multiplayer side because they ARE playable in single player as a separate side.

Infantry
Light Infantry
The main fighting force of the Canadian Army armed with a variety of different bolt action weapons these soldiers displayed endless courage in the battle field. (Isn't this a rare find?-Tanks R us)

Light Machine Gun
Short on money but need an effective way to eliminate pesky infantry. No problem! costing much less then the Heavy Machine gun but less effective against Armour.

Heavy Machine gun
This is what you use if the opponent has started to use tanks against you. this costs quite a lot more then the Light Machine gun but can deal with Armour almost as good as a RAM tank.

Sniper
Basic sniper. If you need to be told what do with this. Just don't bother. Take the YR CD and put it into the garbage. Obviously you've never played it.

Flame Thrower
It's always good to have at least one of these in a game. use them only if you're too cheap to buy a RAM Badger.

Armour:
Scout car: Fox
The Fox was not the best built but was one of the fastest. But it was implemented late enough in the war that the abundance of heavier Nazi tanks destroyed the majority of the first shipment of approximately 1 000 cars. Another factor that added to it's quick demise is that it's highest gear also enabled rear steering making it difficult to control at high speeds.

Transport Truck: C6OL Truck
The primary work horse of the Canadian army. It carried artillery cannons and Flak cannons behind it. It servers as a troop transport. Although not included in D-day it also had the capability to mount cannons bigger then the kind they carried. It's main purpose is an MCV. And when the new economy is in place it will serve as a miner picking up supplies
Infantry Killer/Medium Tank: Ram Badger
The RAM Mk. II came out as a response to the pitiful numbers of tanks amongst the commonwealth countries. It was very versatile and was easily converted for other uses. Conversion was made simple with the simple detachment of the turret. Although this also lowered the survival rate of the gunner and commander.

Heavy tank: Crusader I
A design master piece that was extremely promising. Until they added the engine. It was relatively fast for a heavy tank. But it was plagued with engine failure and track damage.

Mobile Artillery: Sexton
This artillery was not the world's best armored SPG (Self Propelled Gun). It has no machine gun but it had an open top where the crew (3 out of four having rifles) would fire out of the top (but the driver didn't for obvious reasons). The Sexton mounted an awesome 25 pound cannon that caused an extremely loud sound when fired. At close range it was devastating to even a Tiger tank.

Anti-Air/Tank Destroyer: Ram I With 105mm Anti-Air/Tank cannon
Imagine cruising along in your half track and seeing one of these things aiming at you. 105mm cannon mounted on a Ram I chassis. This carries the same cannon as the British field gun. No doubt air attacks on Canada aren't wise.

Recovery Vehicle: RAM II ARV
<No Picture>
It's a turret less Ram Mk. II with a crane on the back. further models also included an 'A' frame although it's all up to Mig Eater.

Air Craft:
Fighter: P-39 Air cobra
They saw little action but are an original concept. The designers decided to mount a 20mm cannon on the end of the nose to reduce drag on the wings caused by the ends of the weapons. they were right the got 0.1 of a kilometer extra speed. Other then that it has your standard machine guns unlike that on the Hurricane.

Interceptor: Mosquito
It's design was less focused on armament and more on speed. This was the fastest aircraft of the war. It was also one of the weakest. But it is still hailed as remarkable (Bit of an over exaggeration).

Bomber: Halifax
A massive four engine bomber that was a sluggish behemoth of the sky. the protection it gave to the crew made the crew as happy with it was the enemy flak gunners were about it's size. At bombing level it was nearly impossible... to miss.

Transport: Boeing 247D
The all-metal Boeing "Model 247-D" was a low-winged, twin-engine transport monoplane. The model 247-D featured newly developed supercharged engines mounted in streamlined nacelles with "controllable-pitch" propellers. The 247-D also had a new windshield that sloped backward instead of forward as on earlier 247 models.

Naval:
Assault Ship: Quebec Class
Was the only 100% Canadian manned Ship to enter the pacific war. It may have only been a cruiser but it packed a punch! After the war it stayed as a training ship until sold for scrap in 1956.

Auxiliary Ship: Ameer Class Carrier
A converted merchantman ship. it was fairly small but could get aircraft into the air like any other carrier.

Ship Hunter: CH1 Class Submarine
<No Picture>
purchased by Canada these were the bulk of their dwindling submarine fleet. They were really only kept just incase U-boats could be more advance then detection systems.

Destroyer: Toronto Class
Well built fast warships. They were mainly used as convoy escorts and in the Mediterranean. They were well prepared for Anti-Sub warfare. Almost all of these ships had Sonar.

Anti-Aircraft Boat: G class
These Destroyers had their Cannons removed and replaced with 63cm Anti-Aircraft Cannons. When received they were placed in the River class of ships.

Secret Units:
Ram Op II
A Ram Mk. II converted into a command tank. Able to call in air strikes using the radio (Good Idea Mig). Other then that this is a rather un-special unit. It could repair cable lines and set them up. As opposed to the German method of sending new recruits into enemy fire with the cable reels.

DH-100 "Vampire"
From the makers of the mosquito a jet plane that carried 4 20mm cannons obviously not a tank destroyer plane but it would have been a very reliable plane. Canada's order of these Planes never saw combat.

Ontario Class
An improvement on the Quebec class. Other then that fairly basic better armor and better armament.
