M.Ed., B.A., De Paul University, English major; minor in music, received Master of Science Degree in Education from Chicago State University.

Served as a music instructor, working with students and teachers from elementary through secondary levels.

Studied musical composition and theory in The School of Music at De Paul University.

Technique and repertoire study for the guitar at Checchini Guitar Studios, in Chicago, Chicago Musical College of Roosevelt University, and at Chicago State University.

Interests: Reading musical literature of Carcassi, Carlevaro, Sagreras, Segovia, Sor, and jazz studies in the history of music as well as for improvisation, interpretation, and the application of theory in the arrangement of music for the guitar, in addition to practice of the bass guitar.

Instruments: Carvin (Custom) bass guitar, Takamine (CP132SC) classic guitar, and Fender Stratocaster.
