This page is dedicated to informing and enlightening legit players of the many hacks out there on B-net. Any member of this guild will need to be familiar with this information.
ANY item that is not with the suffix "of the Ages", is not a ring or Amulet(which are all Indestructible), or is not a special indestructible Unique item, will be identified as a hacked item. There are those who feel they are legit players and claim that ANY item may be indestructible. I'm sorry, as far as this guild is concerned, that is not true. There are only 10 Unique items in the game which may be indestructible:

Hammer of Jholm
Cranium Basher
Leather of Aut
Demonspike Coat
Dragon's Breach
Stormshield
Torn Flesh of Souls
The Wicked Axe
There is a theory that any item may become indestructible through hitting enough Hidden Shrines to the point where an item's durablility reaches exactly 255. If this is true, it is not recommended you do this to any items of great value to you. For once an item reads "Indestructible" when it normally shouldn't, it will be construed as a hack.
The reason such a big deal is made of illegally indestructible items(aside from the fact that they're hacked) is not because of the functionality of an indestructible item, but because most of the main dupes circulating B-net are of this Indestructible variety.
There are several Unique Items which have been hacked into other forms -- mainly into rings and amulets. Just remember this:
There are NO legitimate Unique amulets on B-net, And the only Unique rings which may be found legit in a game are these 5 :
The Constriction Ring
Ring of Engagement
The Bleeder
Ring of Regha
the Bramble
Also keep in mind that each unique item only comes in one legitimate form. Here are a few that should especially be taken note of:
Dreamflange - Can be found legit only as a mace.
Demonspike Coat - Only legit as a Full Plate mail.
Gnarled Root - This Unique may be found found in two forms:a plain club, or a Spiked club
Thinking Cap - Only found as a skull cap with original durability of 1/1
Messerschmidt's Reaver - Only legit in Great Axe form.
Lightforge - Not legit in any form.
Uniques only legitimately available in Single Player Diablo mode:

These Uniques(in any form) may only be found in the Single Player Quest version of Diablo. Any off these existing on B-net were hacked on from Single Player mode. No legit character on B-net may possess these items.
Hacked Staves
Generally, hacked staves posess more charges than they should. Below are some noteworthy staves, and the maximum amount of charges they may possess in legit form. Keep in mind that staves with the prefix 'Plentiful' or 'Bountiful' would respectively double or triple the number of charges listed below.
Staff of Apocalypse: 12 charges
Staff of Nova: 32 charges
Staff of Fireball: 80 charges
Staff of Chain Lightning: 60 charges
Staff of Stone Curse: 16 charges
Staff of Flamewave: 40 charges
Staff of Elememental: 60 charges
Staff of Guardian: 32 charges
In closing, the most common ways to identify hacks are:
-Illegally indestructible items
-Unique items in non-legit forms
-Unique items which can only be found in single player Diablo
-Items which just should not exist
-Other altered stats on items (eg. high durability, staff charges, extra damage%, etc.)
Duped Stuff
This is a general list of specific duped versions of items which are commonly re-duped and consequently circulated around B-net. This list is by no means all encompassing, as the dupes out there are many, and any item may be duped.
A thing to remember: Most of these common dupes are illegally indestructible.Dupes should be easily detected IF they are of this Indestructible variety.

In addition to the items listed here, remember that the best visible trait of a B-net dupe may be perfect stats. (such as: Awesome Plate 75ac/+150% or Obsidian Ring of Perfection 40%resist/+30dex)

Below are some Uniques which are at good risk of being dupes. Be cautious of these items....... Especially the first 5 on this list.
The only two items in the list below which can possibly be Indestructible are, the StormShield and Eaglehorn.

Commonly Duped Jewelry:
Obsidian/Jade/Dragons Jewelry of the Zodiac are some Zodiac charms that are almost always dupes around B-net. You should be wary of anyone willing to trade them for anything less than the best stuff. Especially an Obsidian Ring/Amulet of the Zodiac. Almost nobody in their right mind would ever trade, much less give a legit one of these away. Here are some of the more commonly duped versions of Jewelry which circulate B-net.

Obsidian Ring of the Wolf: Resist All +40% +37 Hit points
Dragons Ring of the Zodiac: +60 mana +20 to all attributes
Drakes Ring of the Zodiac: +45 mana +20 to all attributes
Drakes Ring of Wizadry: +42 mana +30 to magic
Diamond Ring of the Zodiac: Resist Magic +52% +20 to all attributes
Crystal Ring of the Zodiac: Resist Magic +42% +19 to all attributes
Cobalt Ring of the Zodiac: Resist Lightning +41% +19 to all attributes

Obsidian Amulet of the Zodiac: Resist all +40% +20 to all attributes

KINGS GEAR:
This is undoubtably the most often duped set of weapons in the game. Almost all King's Bastard Swords(6-15 damage) or Great Axes(12-30 damage) that you'll find on players around B-net are duped. The best thing to do, as with most equipment on this page, is to not trade for them.
King's sword of Haste(bastard): +100 to hit +174 damage
King's sword of Blood(bastard): +89 to hit +153 damage
King's sword of Vampires(bastard): +99 to hit +168 damage
King's Sword of the Heavans(bastard): +79 to hit +172 dam +14 to all attributes
King's sword of Gore(bastard): +84 to hit +171 dam +??? points to damage
King's sword of Slaying(bastard): +82 to hit +167 dam +6 points to damage
King's Axe of Haste(Great Axe version) +98 to hit +158 damage
Armor:
These are the most often duped armor in the game. Usually Tower and Gothic Shields, Full Plate Mail, or Great Helms. Be very wary of Godly gear. Especially those possessing the suffix "of the Mammoth" or "of the Whale". Even if you come across one on public B-net that isn't indestructible, odds are extremely in favor of it being duped.
A legit quality Holy item is alot more likely than a Godly item, nonetheless.....they are extremely rare and often duped.
Note that all Godly and Holy Plates listed here cannot ever exist legitimately on B-net, and are always Hacks.

Merc Bows:
Probably two of the most prized bows to the Rogue class -- especially in LongWarBow(1-14 Damage) and LongBattleBow(1-10 Damage) versions. No surprise there should be many dupes of these around.
Merciless bow of Burning(1-14 Damage)+164% dam, Fire arrow damage 1-16
Merciless bow of Thunder(1-10 Damage)+157% dam, Lightning arrow damage 1-20
Merciless Bow of The Heavens(1-14 Damage)+174% dam, +14 to all attributes
Emerald Bow of The Heavens(1-14 Damage) Resist All +41% +14 to all attributes
Staves:
ArchAngel's Staff of Apocalypse(Warstaff) 8-16 Dam....255 Charges (one of the most commonly duped items on B-net)
Not only is it a dupe, but it's an obvious hack. However, it IS one of the most commonly duped items on B-net, along with the Lightforge, Royal Circlet, King's sword of Haste, Godly plate of the Whale, Windforce, Merc bows of Burning/Thunder/Heavens, Obsidian rings/amulets of the Zodiac, and others. Below are some other staves at good risk of being duped.
