The Sorrow Fields
The fields are calm and quiet now
The clouds have parted
The winds have stilled
The sullen crowd has gone on their way
I can still hear the cries
I can still see his face
I can still feel the tears
running down my face
The end had come too soon for him
And that day I put my best friend in the ground
I carried him to his eternal bed
And now I kneel above
Thinking of the past
Thinking of that day
The day I put him here
But today the field is calm
And empty except for one soul
The Sorrow Fields are empty now.
Goodbye
