1997

He was sent to Emerald City and made the girlfriend of Aryan brotherhood leader Vern Schillinger. Schillinger burned a swastika onto Beecher's ass and raped him. Beecher was driven to using drugs and, in a drug-enduced rage, shoved broken glass into Schillinger's eye and took a shit on his face.

1998

On the eve of Schillinger's parole, Beecher drove him into trying to have him killed. Schillinger was caught and sentenced to ten more years. Beecher received a new cellmate, Chris Keller, a secret frind of Schillinger's. Beecher learned that his wife, Genevieve, had killed herself. Beecher was driven into Keller's arms, and then Keller, Schillinger, and Officer Metzger broke Beecher's arms and legs.

1999

Beecher returned from the hospital and forced Keller to confess, then murdered Metzger, Freddy Kruegger-style. When Schillinger's son Andrew arrived in Oz, Beecher befriended him. Schillinger, to protect him, had Andrew killed. Beecher, feeling guilty for causing Andrew's death, turned to Kareem Said for help. He forgave Keller, and when he tried to apologize to Schillinger, a fight broke out in which Beecher was stabbed. Keller saved Beecher's life, and they became a couple again.

2000

Beecher had his father, Edward, search for the location of Schillinger's other son, Hank, in order to put behind the feud between them. Hank was found, and Beecher paid him to visit Schillinger. Beecher then learned that his son and daughter were kidnapped. He received his son's hand in the mail, and later his son's body was found. Beecher and Keller fought, and broke up. His daughter was found alive, in the clutches of Hank. Hank was released on a technicality, so Beecher paid Chucky Pancamo to have Hank killed secretly, but changed his mind an hour too late.

2001

Ronald Barlog (Keller's old friend) was sent to Emerald City, and became Beecher's cellmate. Beecher used Barlog to get back at Keller, but Keller had the last laugh when Barlog became his new boyfriend. Beecher learned that Barlog was planning to sell Keller out to the FBI and warned him, so Keller killed Barlog, and peace was declared between Beecher and Keller again. When Hank's body was found, Schillinger decided to kill Beecher's entire family. To save Beecher and his family, Keller confessed to the murder and was transferred to Massachussettes. Beecher learned from his lawyer, Catherine McCain, that his parole is approaching. Schillinger planned to ruin Beecher's parole, but didn't need to, as the parole board turned him down anyway. When Schillinger and Robson threatened Beecher in the library, Said stabbed them both to save Beecher.

2002

Sister Peter-Marie asked Beecher to speak to Schillinger and Said and try to stop the war between the Aryans and Muslims. Beecher told the two how much alike they were. Beecher learned that the FBI now knows that Pancamo had ordered the hit on Hank, but did not know he was involved. Sister Peter-Marie told Beecher that Keller would be returning to Oz. A friend of Beecher's family, Adam Guenzel, arrived and became Beecher's cellmate. The Aryans desperately wanted Adam as a bitch, and Schillinger offered to let Beecher see Keller, as he was now in Protective Custody. When Adam learned that Beecher was gay he taunted him, so Beecher had Adam transferred to Schillinger in exchange for seeing Keller. The Aryans gang-raped Adam, and eventually had him killed. Beecher, feeling guilty, told Sister Peter-Marie everything and had Schillinger sent to Solitary. Beecher began to deliver mail to Keller in death row.

2003

Beecher was moved to Unit J where there were no Aryans, since he was constantly being attacked after turning in Schillinger. He met with his father, Harrison, who was Keller's new lawyer. Beecher's son Harry (who had been an infant when Beecher was arrested and is now 6 years old) refuses to see him. Beecher was also glad that his parole hearing is a few days away. But then Harrison was stabbed to death on his way out of Oz. Beecher was not allowed to go to his father's funeral while Oz is in lock-down, and his parole hearing was postponed until the situation is over. Mayor Wilson Lowen arrived in Unit J, and while Beecher, Yood, and Lowen were eating, Lowen began to choke and Beecher saved him. Schillinger asked to meet with Beecher in Sister Pete's office, and there he thanked Beecher for saving the mayor's life and confessed that Lowen has always been a hero of his. Beecher was sickened that Schillinger has lost the instinct to help any dying individual. Beecher went before the parole board and was granted parole as soon as the paperwork can come through. Beecher was packing up to leave Oz for good when Yood informed him that the Aryans had killed his father, and Yood advised that Beecher do something about it before he leaves. Beecher knew that Lowen was like a father to Vern. That night, an inmate slit Lowen's throat. Beecher returned to Oz to meet with his "client", Keller. On the way, Sister Pete informed him that Said was dead, and Beecher did not take it well. However, he still went to death row to see Keller. Beecher wanted to prove that the witness who'd seen Keller dump a body was lying. Later, Beecher returned to inform Keller that his verdict had been overturned. Beecher came to the infirmary, where Henry Stanton complained to him about the hard work the officers are making him do. Beecher spoke to Glynn, threatening to sue on Stanton's behalf, so Glynn gave Stanton light detail. Beecher also talked to Keller, who was bored in Unit B. He also confessed to having killed Franklin Winthrop for killing Beecher's father. When Keller learned that Beecher has a sexual relationship, he began to act weird. He finally admitted to Beecher that his ex-wife Bonnie has ovarian cancer and needs an illegal medication to relieve her pain. Keller guilted Beecher into agreeing to, despite the fact that it would violate his parole. So while Beecher was getting the illegal drug, Keller called the police and tipped them to it. So a very depressed Beecher was in Receiving and Discharge a short while later with the new inmates of Oz. Keller approached Beecher in the gym, trying to be friendly. Beecher ignored the man, and Keller lied, caliming that he hadn't meant for Beecher to be caught. Beecher still wanted nothing to do with him, because he knew that (whether or not Keller had done it) he believed that he was capable of it. Beecher ran into Schillinger and Keller in the library and told Schillinger that Keller had killed Winthrop. Schillinger didn't believe him. Beecher auditioned for MacDuff, and was called to a "special rehearsal", but only Keller was there. Keller tied Beecher up and threatened to kill him with a shank. Then he admitted that he had agreed to kill him in order to save him, because he knew if he'd told Beecher that he wants to save him Beecher wouldn't believe him. FBI Agent Taylor told Beecher that he could testify that Keller had admitted to killing the three homosexual men in 1997, but Beecher admitted that Keller hadn't actually admitted to it, only implied. Taylor believed that could be enough, if worded correctly. As Beecher was deciding, Keller just happened to walk by. Beecher knew that Taylor was responsible for this, and agreed to think about it. He spoke to Sister Pete, asking for advice. She told him that she didn't think it was a good idea. He told her that it was opening night, and maybe he'll come to a decision afterwards. Toward the end of the production, Keller gave Beecher his prop, and Beecher battled Schillinger. Beecher thrust his prop knife into Schillinger, and Schillinger realized that Keller had betrayed him. He dropped dead to the ground, and Beecher looked over at Keller, holding the prop knife. Beecher called for help. During the investigation of Schillinger's death, it was ruled as an accident. Beecher was in Emerald City when Keller approached him, saying that he was now Beecher's cellmate. Beecher wanted nothing to do with Keller anymore, even though Keller admitted that he'd taken care of the Aryans for Beecher. Keller also admitted that he'd ruined Beecher's parole because he didn't want to live without him. Beecher told Keller that, if he really loved him, he would leave him alone. Keller refused to do that, so Beecher shoved him away. Keller stumbled over the balcony and landed dead on the floor from the fall. Beecher was depressed, and talked to Sister Pete in the gym. He told her that Keller had "taken care of the Aryans" for him, but he wasn't quite sure what that meant.
