Convicted of raping a fellow officer while drunk, Colonel Galson arrived in Emerald City and became cellmates with Tobias Beecher. When Galson learned that Beecher is gay, he attacked him. Beecher defended himself and won the fight. Galson was moved to the cell of Burr Redding, the leader of the Homeboys. Their mutual experiences in Vietnam made them allies. He helped Redding sniff out a traitor in his gang. Later, Redding tried to enlist Galson into killing his enemy, Enrique Morales, and the perfect opportunity came when the two were assigned to fix a broken elevator. Galson attacked Morales, but the Latino got the best of him and crushed him with the elevator.
