Superb! Entertainment was started in 1996 by two brothers, Joshua & Andrew Knode. It seems as if they had always had an intrest in entertainment, stating at a very young age when they use to perform little plays in their basement for their family. All through the time as they were growing up they would make huge plans of blockbuster movies that they were going to make the next summer. However do to the extravigance of their movie ideas they would time and time again find themselves stuck behind a microphone of a tape recorder, putting their ideas to use in the form of radio programs. It wasn't until Josh, the older of the two, got involved in a video productions class at the high school that these two artist would get the chance they were looking for.

As for one of Josh's assignments he needed to tape a 2-3 minute video dubed over with a song to be used as an introdution to the schools video announcements show. That afternoon Josh came home with a song on his lips and an idea in his brain. It was that weekend that their very first production was born. It was called The Aulstralian Tourist. The quality was lacking being thier first but the same sort of comedy that is still with us was there. And most of all the school loved it. That year they went on to make two more intros called Secret Agent Man, and The Venusians, Both also big hits at the school.

It was then that this young video makers realized that they needed a title to work under, something to catorgorize their work from others. So they of course choose the most logical choice, Knode Brother Productions. wow. The following year in 1997, Andrew still in only eighth grade began to get more and more intrested in the actual production work of making these movie shorts and had the desire to make his own full-length movie. So he approached a good friend of his at school, Emmet Zollinger with the idea of making a movie. Emmet was immediately intrested, having heard about the brothers previous inros. The two friends put thier heads together and tried to think of an idea to make the movie on. Emmet suggested making a Star Trek spoof. Andy ran home and began doodling down different ideas for a story-line of the spoof and and gave them to Emmet the next day. He read through them and decided on which one to use. They stated work on the screenplay that same day in a Study Hall that they shared. Also in this Study Hall was a mutual friend of thier's Evan Stern who helped them out in the writting process. They had some of the most fun in that Study Hall calaborating thier wild-eyed ideas and sometimes stupid gags and schtix into the script in hopes to make it just a hilarious and fun slap-stick comedy movie. It took them well over five months but they finally finished the script. Unfortunately this five months overlaped into the summer of which they wanted to film it. However even before the script was finished each of them new in the back of thier minds that the script was just too outlandish and flamboyant in the ways of sets and costumes and such for them to make as thier first full-length.

All hope was not given up, the three of them just went back to the drawing board to try to think of a smaller simpler idea to make over the next spring break as a practice to make the Star Trek movie the next summer. Due to the way schedualing was Andy & Evan mainly were in charge of finding an idea to use. Andy this time wrote the script himself, again because of schedualing. It was too big to make it over spring break so they took five weeks out of the summer and finally filmed theri first full-length movie MARSCP. It was during the production of this that the now 11 members of the company wanted change the name of the company so that it wasn't centered so much around the Knode Brothers so the name was changed to Superb Entertainment, because that's truly all that they wish to do is provide the world with good old fashion Superb! Entertainment.
