Gentlemen;
We are finally getting the game started. The scenario describing the three frigates verses a ship of line was considered practice and did not happen.
This turn will cover your character's activities on March 1, 1814 a Friday. Turns are due by midnite Mar 15 EST. You can ask questions and exchange information prior to the due date to further along your turn. For example you want to obtain a fine bottle of wine to present to Lord Rupert. Describe your activities and I can give you a gamemaster ruling on your success, which you can incorporate into your turn.
In addition to your ship board activities, Rear Admiral Medicus has invited all Captains and those First Lieutenants who can be spared from their duties to supper aboard the flagship Friday Evening.
You know that Lord Rupert is hosting a Grand Ball on Saturday and has invited all military and local personages of note. He has invited all Commanding Officers of the Bermuda Naval Squadron and any junior officers they would care to have accompany them. Lord Rupert's daughter was rescued by the Bermuda Sqadron almost two years ago and he has been favorabily inclined to help naval officers ever since. Lord Ruperts daughter Lady Sarah and at least half a dozen of her friends, all daughters of nobles or senior military officers or government officials, will also be in attendance.
Information for each individual ship is posted under game turn five. As a general note anything listed after the 1814 Campaign is current and anything before refers to the earlier game. Players are advised to read all ships turn listings for useful information. Previous turn results may provide insights into key officers and the crew in general. Consider this information gained through the rumor mill, overheard in conversation, or picked up from ship's logs and record books.
Looking forward to a great game
