Gentlemen,
It has come to the Admiral's attention that the Jana is short one
lieutenant due to Lt Snouser being detached as a prize master. To that end as
Lieutenant Callahan is senior to Lieutenant Rhetnug; Lt Rhetnug will be
transfered to the Jana and Lt Callaghan assume the duties of First
Lieutenant aboard the Willow

Countess Suffren sent a short note to Lieutenant Darkridge she looks
forward to seeing at the ball and the following day.Darkridge wondered did it mean she looked forward
to both tea and ball, or only ball? With a (Noble) Woman who can
tell he thought to himself???
The following takes place before anyone has left for the Admirals Dinner
Party, but just before the Crab's signal and the FireShip entering the
harbor

Aboard the Jana
Sailing Master Mark Grunwald and Surgeon ('s Mate) Sandy Drysler nervously ask
to see the First Lieutenant. Drysler speaks up "Its Captain Livingstone
sir, he has the fever. The Marine Sergeant and the Midshipman of the Watch
found him in a bad way. The Surgeon's Mate looked to Grunwald who added,
"you'll have to take temporary command sir"

A rocket lights the early evening sky as the senior officers of the various
ships and vessels of the Bermuda Squadron make their preparations for the
Admiral Dinner Party.
A towering wall of flame erupts from the harbor mouth as a small merchant
brigatine bursts into flames

Being boarded fireship enroute....
The Jana was taken completely by surprise during the fireship attack. Both her Captain and First Lieutenant have been placed on half pay and sent back to England. Lieutenant Rhetnug has assumed temporary command until Commander Bryant reads himself in.
