The New Scouts

The next day as Nyo prepares for her date the doorbell rings announcing his arrival.

Amador smiles as Nyo comes down the stairs. "Wow, you look great!"

Nyo blushes at this. "Err, thanks! It's just an old outfit of mine!" She tugs on the miniskirt with a rose design and fixes her rose tank top.

"Well, let's get going, shall we?"

Nyo nods, then calls out, "I'm leaving now Serene! I'll be back soon!"

Serene yells back. "Ok! Have a great time!"

"I will!" Nyo smiles at Amador. "So where are we going??"

"Well, first I thought we should go to this carnival nearby. I hear it's really fun!"

Nyo smiles. "Sounds like fun! I've never really been to carnival!"

Amador holds out his arm. "Well, I guess I'll just have to make this special then."

Nyo smiles as she takes his arm. "Fine with me!" She winks at him. The two get into his car and drive off towards the carnival. When they get there, Nyo looks up at the carnival in wonder and awe. Amador kind of laughs and then leads Nyo onto their first ride.

Nyo looks up at the roller coaster. "This looks like fun!" They go onto the rollercoaster and soon afterwards go on it three more times.

Nyo is holding onto Amador tightly as they get off. "That was so much fun!" She looks over at the Ferris wheel where lots of couples are getting on, and then looks back at Amador. Amador, getting the hint, takes her over to the Ferris wheel. Nyo smiles while holding his hand and leans into him. Amador smiles back and leans in as they lock in a kiss. Nyo goes in shock for a moment before melting into his arms.

Meanwhile, back at Serene and Nyo's place, Serene heads out the door to go meet Serena. As she does, she notices a man leaning against the house next to Serena's.

"Hello there!" she says as she waves toward the guy. She looks closely and realizes who it is. "Darien! OMG! I haven't seen you in a long time!"

Darien looks at her strangely. "Who are you?"

"Oh, that's right, you don't remember me." She closes her eyes and focuses her memory on Darien. Images of them and Serena playing together as young children come flooding back to him.

Darien blinks. He grins widely. "Serene! Damn it's been a long time since I’ve seen you around!" Serene gives Darien a huge hug just as Serena comes out.

"HEY! What are you guys doing hmmm?" Serena tries not to appear jealous, even though she is.

Serene blushes and giggles. "Oh, nothing. Hey, where's the guy I'm supposed to be going with, Serena?"

Darien thinks for a moment. "I knew there is someone missing! I just can't think of who it is!"

"Oh yeah! We have to go pick him up! His name is Andrew, and well, he's just broken up with his girlfriend Rita and I know that you can help people out with this sort of thing. So, let's go get him." Serena grabs her sister's arm excitedly.

"Okay!" Serene looks at Darien who is still trying to figure out who was missing. The three of them walk toward the Crown Arcade and catch up on each other's lives along the way.

"Sooo you AND Nyo are back?! Damn I’m in trouble now! Is Nyo still rough and tough?" Darien flinches at the thought.

"Yea, she's still a little rough around the edges, but I think she'll come around soon enough."

"She never has before, so I doubt it! Man I still have the scratch she gave me!"

Serene laughs. "I guess you're right."
