My Varsity Swim Season

I've been involved in varsity swimming since 7th grade, and this year was it. My final year, and not a very bad year at that.
My team had a winning season record of 13-2, with our two losses going to Horseheads and Lansing. We won our Second Annual Valley Invitational Meet, breaking every meet record, we took first place out of all the Class B schools at EFA Invitational, we won the IAC Championship, we won the Section IV Class B Championship, and we qualified for the New York State Meet with our Medley Relay, 200 Freestyle, 100 Butterfly, 500 Freestyle, and 400 Free Relay. Our Medley took 3rd in the state, Ben Fell took 16th in the 200 Freestyle and 11th in the 100 Butterfly. His little brother, Pat Fell, took 20th in the 500 Freestyle, and our 400 Freestyle Relay took 7th in the State.
Personally, I also did pretty damn good. I had personal records in the 50 Freestyle and 100 Freestyle, along with a few other events that I either hadn't swam in in a long time, or that I was just swimming for the first time. I was IAC and Section Champion in the 50 Free, which were my goals outside of the 50 Free record. I was in all the record-breaking relays, and both State-Ranked Relays.
The whole thing, all six years, have been great. Yeah, it's been a lot of hard work and getting yelled at by Coach, but it's been worth it. The hard work payed off, as you can tell. It's also been a Helluva lot of fun. We've done everything from swim parties, to mall trips, to Hooters (the last one will be a memory I cherish forever), but I'm also glad it's over. Just rest and relaxation now...at least until I go to college.
