The ultimate goal of Tarchanna is to colonize the solar system. Not only with humans, but all of life (minus most kinds of flies, leeches, and mosquitoes). Our motives are numerous and varied, and range from the political to the scientific. Originally, I simply wanted to colonize Mars for scientific purposes, but I admit it's kind of mushroomed. However, the permanent habitation of Mars is still the main goal, and something of a milestone. Because of that, I will only list in detail the plans and technologies needed to get to and successfully live on Mars. Once we get there, we'll have the technology and resources to go almost anywhere, and the time to plan it. "Anywhere" will probably turn out to be the Asteroid Belt, Jupiter's and Saturn's moons, Mercury and Venus, then the rest of the solar system, in that order.

You might say this is technologically impossible. Well, it isn't. Almost all of the technology we mention here has been invented, and just has a few kinks that can be worked out with experimentation. Some of these things are more in the future than others, but none of them are impossible. We have made quite a few designs and blueprints, but, due to the lack of a scanner or a professional graphic artist, not many of them will be posted.

No, this isn’t a cult, any less than the Mars Society is. The difference between the Mars Society and us is mostly they want to "work with the system," we want to make our own.

Well, I guess or dependence on the person who looked at this site was misplaced. I have added several hit-harvesting devices at the bottom of the page, they're not really that interesting. Anyway, hunt around for minor changes here and there, other than that, we've almost completely reached stasis with this site. Anyway, have fun. Ho hum.

Naah, I'm just annoyed for now. I'm sure this person (well, hurry up already!) will eventually look at this site and make some sort of commment about it. I hope. I really really hope this person can make this whole whacked-out project work.

All right, this site is under construction. Sort of. You can look around, but there are tons of mistakes, especially in the links. I promise I'll fix them some day, but probably not soon; my internet connection is a little screwy, and I can't get on very often. Check back by New Year's, I might have gotten something done. Also, we're undergoing some changes in plan; nothing major, just details, but we're really still in the planning stage of this venture, and some things are no longer accurate.

DarkFox here. My comments on stuff will be in red if you notice. I'm thinking about ditching my site and pasting whatever was useful about it here behind Simon's back, he'll go crazy whe he finds out I did, but the damage will have been too extensive anyway. Look around, see if you can find it. ;)
