John L. Walton, Obion, TN, enlisted in the Confederate Army as a volunteer on 1 Jun 1862. The records from Washington, D.C. show that he was a Private, Kentucky Calvary, Company 3, Regiment 2, Duke's Command, Morgan's Brigade. He was wounded and captured in Salineville, Ohio, in 1963.
