LEELEE SOBIESKI (short Bio)

LeeLee Sobieski was born on June 10 , 1982 in New York Which makes her a Gemini. During the first decade of her life, Leelee lived on a ranch in the Carmarque region of France. She also attended school in Miami where she first acted in a school play.

LeeLee (originally Liliane)is the animal-loving daughter of Jean Sobieski, a French painter and writer. LeeLee i s 16 years old and lives in between New York and Los Angeles . (She works in Los Angeles and goes to school full time in New York when not acting). Her parents and younger brother follow her. LeeLee enjoys martial arts, ceramics, painting, poetry, and horseback riding.

She first acted in a play at her school in Miami, Florida, and was discovered by a casting director in her New York City school cafeteria. The director asked if she wanted to try acting and she agreed. She went horribly and so she tried harder to understand the job better thereafter .

As an actress on television, Leelee enjoyed guest lead roles on "Grace Under Fire" and "The Home Court." She also appeared in the movies-of-the-week "Reunion" and "A Horse For Danny," and starred as Jenny Grace opposite Mark Harmon on the series "Charlie Grace."

LeeLee's movie debut was the Disney movie"Jungle 2 Jungle," wherein she played Martin Short's daughter, Karen. Her on-screen romance in the movie was an Amazonian tribal youth, played by her real-life friend, Sam Huntington.

Leelee's mastery over the French language was necessary for the upcoming Merchant-Ivory production, "A Soldier's Daughter Never Cries." Shot on location in Paris and scheduled for release later this year, the movie stars Leelee as the central character, Channe, alongside Kris Kristofferson and Barbara Hershey.

Lee Lee's latest major film was DEEP IMPACT also starring Elijah Wood , Tea Leoni , Robert Duvall ,Vanessa Redgrave , Maxamilion Schell , Morgan Freeman , James Cromwell , Mary McCormack , Blair Underwood , Dougray scott , Ron Eldard and Alexander Baluev . DEEP IMPACT was released on May 8 ,1998 . Leelee plays the part of Sarah Hotchner. She and her On - Screen Boyfriend must make mature choices throughout the movie which is an interesting concept . A strange but true fact is that Elijah Woods real - life girlfriend is called Sarah!
