May 10,17,24 Troop Meetings. 7:15 PM at the Scout Cabin.
May 14-16 Scouting Spectacular Council Camporee. The first camporee of the newly merged Conecticut yankee Council. There will be special events, shows, competitions, and a chance to camp with other troops in our Council. There could be hundreds of Scouts and Scouters attending.
May 17 Special Summer Camp Meeting. For all Scouts and a parent attending Summer Camp. Merit Bage Schedules and medical forms are due. If you're going to camp, you have to attend this meeting.
May 26 Troop 53's Good Turn Project. The placing of Americn flags at Spring Grove Veterans' Cemetary for the memorial Day Parade. 6:30 PM to 7:45 PM. Be in uniform and meet across from the Darien Police Department.
May 31 Memorial Day parade 9:30 AM. Scouts and adult leaders meet at the Goodwives Shopping Center in full uniform. Parade ends at Spring Grove (refreshments provided).

June 7. Troop Meeting and Campout signup.
June 14 Final Troop Meeting and Court of Honor. Signup night for Riverside Amusement Park and the Montreal Trip.
June 12-13 Campout to Mountain Lakes. (Tentative) A fun end of the year campout to Mountain Lakes is near North Salem, NY. There's a lake for boating and swimming and, of course, fishing. Plus, hikes and advancement await! This is a patrol campout.
June 16 Riverside Amusement Park. Celebrate the start of the summer with a "just for fun" day trip to New England's largest amusement park. Cost of $35 includes all rides and attractions, plus transportation by coach bus. Departure is 8:30 AM and we should return by 6:30 PM.
June 25-28 Montreal, Canada!. We'll head north to Canada to the beautiful city of Montreal. Lodging for three nights will be a budget motel. Highlights are a tour of Olympic Village, Old Montreal, and seeing the sights of this great city. This trip will be limited to twelve Scouts on a first-come-first-served basis, and we'll need four adults. Cost is around $225.
