Cub Scout Pack 458

Welcome to our site! To tell you a little about ourselves, we are Cub Scout Pack 458. We are chartered by East Cheatham Elementary's PTO, located in Ashland City, TN. We are part of the Boy Scouts of America. We do lots of interesting things, such as hiking, camping, skating, having parties, and lock-ins. We even get to make Pinewood Derby cars and race them. We also learn a lot of new things. If you want to learn more about our pack, just sign our guest book at the bottom of the page.

Ranks

Tiger Cub: This group is for first graders. They stand out in their orange shirts. Tigers learn the cub scout motto and promise and the handshake. They try to achieve the Bobcat rank.

Wolf: This group is made up of second graders. They build things and learn even more stuff about scouting. They work toward receiving the Wolf badge.

Bear: Third graders are Bears. They go on hikes and try to learn everything they need to know about the Bear badge.

Webelos: Webelos stands for "We'll be loyal scouts." There are two groups of Webelos. The first group is fourth graders. They are working their way toward the Webelos badge. The second group is fifth graders. They work toward the Arrow of Light.

Arrow of Light: This is the highest rank in Cub Scouts. Webelos II earn pins until they receive enough to earn the Arrow of Light. This means that they know enough to advance into Boy Scouts. The Arrow of Light has a prestigious ceremony that goes with it. It usually takes place at crossover.

"You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself in
Any direction you choose.
You're on your own.
And you know what you know.
You are the guy
Who'll decide where to go.
-Dr. Suess
