In Memory of GnrySgt. Hathcock

The response of the former Commanding Officer of the 6th Battalion, who initiated the conceptualization and training of the Philippine Marine Corps Scout Snipers on the passing of GnrySgt. Carlos Hathcock II, USMC (ret).

“It is sad that all good men have to pass. I vividly remember the time when I had to stay late at night just to hear him talk in a symposium at the Amphibious Warfare School(AWS), Quantico, Virginia, 1990.

It was optional then, but still I stayed together with a handful of my classmates. He was the inspiration that I initiated my Battalions Sniper Program. His exploits, books and the personality itself contributed immensely in the Phil Marine Corps snipers.”
