As a knot tyer myself I have always had trouble in finding good cords to use to use on my projects. As any knot tyer knows if you don't have good materials your efforts can come out less than what you want if the materials that you have to work with are not up to good standards. There used to be a few good companies that turned out good materials but as time has gone by and companies have consolidated and gone out of business and moved overseas the qualities of the cord have gradually gone downhill. I took up the quest to find good cotton cords but did not have good results. I finally decided to have the cords made up to the specs that knot tyers desire which are good firm twisted cords. I finally found a company that would work with me to do this and after a lot of trial and error we finally came up with a good variety of cords that knot tyers can appreciate and use to turn out good projects. And since I can deal directly with the manufacturer I can maintain a standard for the cords and also offer them at a fair price.
^
I only deal with the cotton cords because they are the best cords in my opinion for doing nautical style fancywork. And it can be varnished and will last pretty much a lifetime if taken care of.

If you are a member of the IGKT or in the military or scouts ask about discounts offered to members of those groups.^
^
If you are a cord manufacturer and you think you have a quality cord to offer send me a sample and if it is better than what I have to offer I'll carry your cord also. I only want to carry quality cordage.^
