Winnipeg Parks

Winnipeg Parks Rose in the perennial boarder. This rose was named to celebrate the Park System in Winnipeg, Canada. It is fully winter hardy and gets more blooms every year.

Miniature Roses

Several minis are grown in a rectangular pot. When you first purchase minis from the mail order sources, they are quite small. It takes a full season of nurturing in pots before the are sturdy enough for transplanting in the ground or to single pots. Many people say mini roses are more difficult to grow than hybrid teas or other larger roses. My experience is that the same bugs and powdery mildew problems that attack the larger plants can do more damage quicker because of the mini sise of the plants. Too bad we can't miniaturize the bugs, slugs and black spots!
