The devil and the dog

If I could be brave as the bulldog
with the same agressive stance
I`d take on my tribulations
and offer the devil a dance

I`d tell him whilst we were dancing
give me the best that you`ve got
I`ve been in the pit for many a time
and hell my friend this is not

so listen up and you listen good
cause im not in the mood for fun
im telling you the goddamned truth
I`d rather fight than run

I don`t care who you are or where you`re from
couse I`ve taken my share of shit
but let me tell you straight up front
there`s nowhere I would be but the pit

It`s a place for few and fewer still
and if you make it its a helluva ride
if you think you are the devil true
then fight son, fight with pride

it`s a ponderous thing you often see
bigmouths expecting fun
it`s when they see what"all go"means
they twist, they turn and run

so be adviced mr. devil, sir
you`d better be ready to go
couse on the other side of the box you`re in
there`s a dog that wont go slow

he`ll rock you all around the ring
and brimming full of joy
will throw you in the air with force
as if you were his toy

The devil thought then long and hard
said"this might not be the spot"
I`ll go and look up someone else
a place not quite so hot

So should you be willing to take me on
you`d better come prepared
couse in my corner I got some stuff
that made the devil scared
