1992-Jeff's first race was Richard Petty's last at the Hooters 500 in Atlanta, GA.

1993-Rookie of the Year. Takes his first pole. Finishes 14th in the point standings.

1994-Wins the Busch Clash (non point event). Wins his first Winston Cup race at the Coca Cola 600 in Charlotte, NC. Wins the Inaugural Brickyard 400 in Indianapolis, IN. Finishes 8th in the point standings.

1995-Wins 1st Championship! Won 7 races! Won "The Winston"! American Driver of the Year!

1996-Won 10 races! Finished 2nd in point standings. True Value Man of the Year!

1997-Wins 2nd Championship! Won 10 races plus the Winston Select at Charlotte, NC! American Driver of the Year! Became known as "The Million Dollar Man" after winning the Winston Million! (Only the second driver to ever win this award and was the last. Winston changed it to what is now known as the "No Bull Million".)

1998-Wins 3rd Championship! Won 13 races! Tied Richard Petty for most wins in a season in the modern era! American Driver of the Year! Won 2 Winston No Bull Millions! (Brickyard 400 & Southern 500). Became the first 2 time winner of the Brickyard 400! Wins the largest purse in Nascar History $1.6 million at the Brickyard 400! This placed him second on the all time money winners list! Tied record for consecutive wins (4)! 17 consecutive top 5's!

1999-Won 7 races! Finished 6th in the point standings! Won his 2nd Daytona 500! Wins his 3rd No Bull Million at Daytona and broke his own record for the largest purse in Nascar History, with $2.2 million!

2000-Won 3 races! Finished 9th in the point standings! Won a record 6 consecutive road courses 1997-2000! Won his 50th career race at the Die Hard 500 in Talladega, AL 4-16-2000!

2001-Wins 4th Championship! Won 6 races! Wins 4th No Bull Million! Wins "The Winston" for the 3rd time! Ties Dale Earnhardt Sr. for most wins at "The Winston"! Set record for most laps led in MBNA Platinum 400 at Dover, 381 of 400! Took sole possesion of 7th on the all time winners list with his 55th win and 100th win for Hendrick Motor Sports at the Kmart 400 in MI. 1st 3 time winner of the Brickyard 400. 4th career win at Watkins Glen! Record breaking 7 career road coarse wins! Won Inaugural Protection One 400 at Kansas City, KS. Clinched championship at Napa 500 and collects $3.6 million! Becomes all time money winner! (According to Associated Press on 12-1-2001, Jeff raked in a record payoff of $10,879,757! And his career earnings are over $51,000,000!) True Value Man of the Year! American Driver of the Year!

2002-300th consecutive career start 4-7-02 at Texas. Ends 31 race losing streak at Sharpie 500 at Bristol on 8-24-2002. Wins Southern 500 for 5th time! Ties Cale Yarborough for most wins at Darlington on 9-1-02! A modern day record 56 consecutive races without a DNF ends on 9-7-2002 at Richmond. Only driver to win Protection One 400 at Kansas. Won the inaugural race last year than wins it again this year! Had to take his first career provisional start in his 329th start. This has to be some kind of record!

2003-1st driver to win both Martinsville races from the pole in the same year since Fred Lorenzen in 1964! 1st driver to sweep both Martinsville races in the same year since Rusty Wallace in 1994! 18th back to back win for Jeff at Atlanta on 10-27-2003. Finished 4th in point standings for the second year in a row.

2004-19th back to back win, Talladega and California! 8th career road coarse win at Sonoma 6-27-04. Wins Pepsi 400 at Daytona from the pole. 1st person to do this since Cale Yarborough in 1981! Wins 4th pole in a row 7-11-04 at Chicagoland Speedway! This has not been done since 1985 by Bill Elliott! Jeff becomes the first 4 time Brickyard 400 winner on 8-8-04! He Joins an elite group of 4 time winners at Indianapolis Motor Speedway! A. J. Foyt, Rick Mears, Al Unser Sr., and JEFF GORDON! 10-24-2004 - A Hendrick Motorsports plane crashes. Aboard the plane were Rick Hendrick's son Ricky, brother John, chief engine builder Randy Dorton, and other family and team members. There were 10 people aboard in all. Hendrick Motorsports identified the dead as: Ricky Hendrick, Rick Hendrick's son; John Hendrick, Rick Hendrick's brother and president of Hendrick Motorsports; Kimberly and Jennifer Hendrick, John Hendrick's 22-year-old twin daughters; Joe Jackson, an executive with DuPont; Jeff Turner, general manager of Hendrick Motorsports; Randy Dorton, the team's chief engine builder; Scott Lathram, a pilot for NASCAR driver Tony Stewart; and pilots Richard Tracy and Elizabeth Morrison. Lathram was a former Kentucky State Police trooper. Finishes 3rd in point standings. If Nascar had not changed the point system, Jeff would have won his fifth championship! Jeff only missed out by 16 pts.

2005- Wins his 3rd Daytona 500 2-20-05! Wins at Talladega 5-1-05! 2nd restrictor plate win this year! Swept both races at Martinsville! Finished 11th in the point standings. Jeff's worst finish since his rookie season.

2006-Wins 9th career road coarse at Sonoma 6-25-06! King of the Road! Ends longest drought for a pole (47 races) at Dover 9-24-06! Finishes 6th in points. Not bad considering 7 DNF's!

2007-4-21-07 Jeff wins at Phoenix for the first time! First driver to win from the pole at Phoenix! Ties the record for career poles in the modern era! Ties Dale Earnhardt Sr. for career wins (76)! 4-29-07 Takes sole possesion of 6th on the all time winners list (77), passing Dale Earnhardt Sr. Has sole possesion of poles won in modern era (60)! Ties Dale Earnhardt Jr. for number of wins at Talladega (5)! All this happens on Dale Earnhardts Sr. birthday! Dale Earnhardt's last win was at Talladega. 5-6-07 On the pole for the forth race in a row! One of those was given due to rain out. Now has 61 poles! 5-13-07 Wins at Darlington for the 7th time! Docked 100 points for rule violation at Sonoma 6-24-07, but still maintains point lead! 9-8-07 Looses point lead to Jimmie Johnson, due to new point system at the beginning of the chase. Jeff would have won the championship under the old system (before the chase). 11-18-07 Jeff breaks the record for most top 10's in one season (30)!

2008-Jeff's worse season since his rookie year. 0 wins and 6 DNF's. Finished 7th in points.

2009-Jeff went over $100 million dollars in winnings 3-22-09 at Bristol! Ends 47 race losing streak at Texas 4-5-09! First win at Texas! Only one track left for Jeff to conquer, Homestead-Miami! On 8-16-09 Jeff finished 2nd and took home $278 more than the winner! 9-12-09 Jeff goes from 2nd in points to 6th because of a stupid point system imposed by NASCAR called "The CHASE". Screwed by the point system again! Finished 3rd in points.

2010-Not much to crow about this season. No wins and finished 9th in points. Ran good most of the season, but fizzled at the end.

2011-Wow, about time! Jeff ends 66 race losing streak at Phoenix on 2-27-11. Ties Cale Yarborough for 5th on all time wins list. Tied Bobby Allison and Darrell Waltrip for 3rd on the all time wins at Pocono on 6-12-11. Reached 22,000 career laps lead at MI on 8-21-11. Wins at Atlanta on 9-6-11 and takes over 3rd on the all time winners list all by his self. Finished 8th in points. Had a very good season.

2012-Jeff races his way into the chase, barely beating out Kyle Busch by 1 point. Wins at Homestead for first time. Only place Jeff has not won is KY. Docked 25 points and fined $100,000 for altercation with Clint Bowyer at Phoenix.

2013-Jeff makes the chase by Nascar penalizing MWR for team dirty pool in last race before the chase.

2014-On 7-27-14 Jeff became the 1st 5 time winner of the Brickyard 400! Jeff dukes it out with Brad Keselowski after contact on restart resulting in Jeff getting flat tire at Texas on 11-2-14! Jeff gets cheated out of a championship due to NASCAR changing the points system again! Jeff should have his seventh championship, but NASCAR can't leave the system alone. That's the third time this has happened to Jeff. How many more fans will NASCAR lose before they wake up? Since they went to the chase format, there are more and more empty seats at the races and lower TV ratings.

2015-Jeff makes it to the final 4, but finishes 3rd in points, in his last race before retirement.Iron man Jeff Gordon, 797 consecutive starts.
