I believe in respecting each child as an individual and teaching to the whole child.
Every child develops at a different rate physically, cognitively, and emotionally.
Every child should be encouraged to recognize his or her own individuality while
maintaining a respect for others.
Children learn best when they are provided a secure, stimulating environment where
each child meets with experiences that will develop his or her fullest potential.
I believe that students learn best through active learning that is teacher
facilitated. To encourage intrinsic motivation, teachers should pique curiousity,
allow creativity, and make learning fun and meaningful by allowing students to
have some choice in what they learn.
I believe that learning should be exciting, meaningful, and relevant. If we instill
in every child a love of learning and quest for knowledge at an early age, the love
of learning will grow and continue through life.
