             (freight only - disused from 1990 to 1997, damaged April 1997) 
   01-1985 = Fier - Narte (passenger from 14-10-1985)
14-10-1985 = Narte - Vlorë
     -1989 = Milot - Rreshen (passenger from 07-01-1995)
   02-1996 = Shkodėr - Bajzė (re-opening)
15-11=1996 = (Bajzė - Han-i-Hotit re-opening cancelled)
06-03-1997 = Bajzė - Han i Hotit (but damaged soon after)
   04-2002 = Bajzė - Hani i Hotit 
             (frieght only, re-opened following 1997 damage)

Services were suspended during following civil unrest and damage to the system in 1991. Services were restored in stages from 1992 except for the cross border line north of Shkoder which remained closed until a brief re-opening in 1997. The through service between the Ballsh and Tiranė was not restored and the only service to be restored on the Fier - Ballsh branch line was a local shuttle for the use of the workers of the Ballsh Oil Refinery. The shuttle ceased operation sometime around 2000.

Services were suspended during following civil unrest and damage to the system in 1997. Limited services were restored in stages with a special timetable which operated outside of the hours of a curfew. The regular timetable with restored from June 1998. The Rrėshen branch was abandoned beyond Rubik. The freight line north of Shkodėr remained closed due to damage and did not fully re-open until 2003.
