biography
not
just a band a religion
bred from the central pa
little town nothing of Halifax(one from another), four
students were hung-over on too many thoughts. They joined there boring
feedback's of humanity, giving birth to contradictions of sound feeding their
diverse styles. Spawned of burnout hippies, deadbeat car salesmen,
abandon by new jersey job ambition and geriatric bible bangers; still
knowing there own self-worth plays higher than the drunken, crack-smoking,
wife-beating, wannabe suburban, picture perfect tiny riverfront town.
Sounding like a Jerry Springer episode when the germs married Sonic
Youth, then fell in love with Black Sabbath who was sleeping with Nirvana
but also engaged to K.C. And The Sunshine Band while being raped by the
Deftones and traits of incest with Mudhoney who had sold their soul to Iggy
Pop, sprinkled with late 60's Haight-ashbury idealism etc? (shaken not
stirred). Nate king and Jeff Staron , two self-taught grunge babies, found
each other during their preliminary education after many drummers, they
came upon Mark Bohn who formerly learned everything from the soldier-like,
regimented high school band. But the evil, satanistic ways of Nate and Jeff
brought him to the dark side of freedom. Soon to in life was josh wetzel
pulled from the left over loss of ambition to join the ranks of the cubical
style
existence, completed the sub sonic musical cycle. Nate lyrics are doused in
cynicism, sympathy, and a twist of sarcasm; poking fun at the hopeless
chances of growing out of this town. Spitting on the k-mart/american
male/suburban ruled/conglomerate christ they tip-toe through a chemically
induced drive of music. Thank you joni?
Love,
Mr. Kahn
