Through money
raised from their performances, the Dream Keeper's Center offers quarterly
scholarships and financial incentive to eight motivated youth. The scholarship
money goes towards books, tuition, and other educational materials, and
it is saved in a bank account for the kids until they enter college. The
children are also paired with mentors who expose them to exciting and educational
activities. Christopher Page, founder of the program, wants the children
to discover new place and new ways of looking at the world. He says, "The
children are chosen because the work hard and their parents are really
involved in their education." This year scholarship recipients established their own group entitled "One Way." The members of the group are Erica Stewart, Tatiana Anderson, Taruan Tice, Anaya Newby, Quinae Allen, and Mikia Wells. They feel that there is only one way to succeed and that is through hard work and determination. For further information contact:
