Welcome to my HomePage. The chances are that you are someone who knows of me as The Doctor, named after the greatest television programme on Earth, "Doctor Who" :-), because that is what I am known as in chatting circles, but my real name is Keith Bennett. I was born on 27 January, 1969 in London, England, and moved to Brisbane, Australia in 1973 with my parents and sister, Lynne (who chats as Tornado every now and again) and have lived here ever since, apart from when we returned to England for a month in 1987, and went back there in 1997 myself for a short while.
I used to work at an After School Care programme at a nearby Primary School, but as of February 2001, I have become a fulltime student, studying Bachelor of Ministries (3 years)at the Bible College of Queensland. I still adore children, however, and have done much work with them, both in secular terms, like with this job, and in various Christian connections. I taught Sunday School for six years, from 1987 to 1992, at my old church Majestic Park Baptist (I now attend Camp Hill Presbyterian) and have done various children's Mission work.
I was born into a Christian family and have had Jesus in my heart for most of my life. I thank the Lord for the family he put me into. So much so, that I still live with them. :-) My parents, at least. My sister got married in May 2000 to Darryl (Dagsy on the Net). And I've got her bedroom! :-D
It has gradually dawned on me that HomePages are a completely wonderful excuse for self indulgence. Anyone can waffle on about anything they want (as long as it fits in with "the rules", of course) while visiting people either give up from boredom, thumb their noses at the opinions contained or read rapturously.
Therefore, self indulgence awaits!! I have several links below to various things, largely stuff that I have written or am writing. I'll explain a few to you now...
"Christianity? What's It All About?" is a piece on my Christian faith and what it means to me. And "The Ten Commandments" contains links to ten little bits I've written on each of the Commandments. I'm no qualified pastor, but I thought I'd say my bit...
"The Chatter's Dictionary" is some humour I've written. *sigh* Everyone seems to LOVE this bit and I'm very pleased that they do, but sometimes I wonder if anyone takes me seriously. :-)
Also, there is a link to a page of my father, David Bennett. He has written several books (amongst other things), and information about them can be found there. Please do have a peek and help a very good writer - and I don't say that because he's my dad, or because he has paid me to do his page. :-)
