What should be the next step?

TINN---There is a lot of pressure on Pakistan to restore democracy after the military coup.

"The Invisibles" who saved Pakistan should remain 'behind the scene' as it would be best in the interest of the country in long term despite of foreign pressure.

Nawaz Sharif's allies out side of Pakistan are threatening to cut foreign aid, one already expelled from common wealth membership after the coup. Portarying the image that Sharif's allies will dealt severly as things goes against their interests.

There are number of possibilities as usual some western sources has informed prior to any incident that there could be a "counter coup" due to the division in the army.

Independent resources(mostly Pakistanis living abroad), political analysts, politicians and intellectuals believe that Gen. Pervez Musharraf will face so called "Islamic fundamentalist" getting training in the Maddaris of Pakistan as well as in Afghanistan. Nawaz Sharif as the US claims has influence on the fundamentalist groups in Pakistan, may start destabilizing the country as soon as they recieved green signal from Sharif's foreign allies.

With these some of the problems mentioned above Gen. Musharraf and allies has to figure it out a new setup for the country.

The best advice comes in is that for the moment "operation clean-up" should begin within the armed forces sectors (including intelligence agencies) so the foundation should not be rocked again and there would be no possibility of any "Macbeth" who can put dagger in the back of the King.

Second step after "operation clean-up" should impose Martial Law for a long time as civilian rule is all sell out to the foreign countries.

Martial Law should be based upon absolute justice, kindness and kinship regardless of any religious, ethnic, economic or political discrimination. Strict measures should be taken against who destroys or intend to destroy the peace of the country.

Before taking these measures Army chief should first take nation in to confidence. He can find plenty of support from the nation on the grounds of absolute justice, kindness and kinship.

It shall become easier for the nation to suffer during economic collapse ahead as the IMF, World Bank and other institutions are "bluffing" not to compensate any aid. We do not need any charity from these institutions, because these very institutions destabilize the country of Pakistan.

If Musharraf and his colleagues are smart enough and willing to take a challenge and chance to slap foreign aid back to these institutions Pakistan is on track towards prosperity.

May Almighty help our nation and have mercy on us at this crucial time.

Pakistan needs a new constitution?

TINN---After the coup Gen. Musharraf probably has to face confrontation from the pro-Nawaz army personnels. These personnels are in the country's intelligence agencies, fundamentalist in the army and as well as those getting training in the Madarris.

Pakistan is heading towards civil war if things do not go smoothly for Musharraf and his party.

It is a tendency in Pakistan that every elected civilian government does not work honestly. There are two obvious options for new care takers either 1)restore the actual constitution of 1973 (which does not include any amendments made in 1974 or after) Or 2) Construct a new constitution that safeguards individual rights of each citizen regardless of religion, origin or any other discrimination.

The professionals in Pakistan such as lawyers, judges, civil administrators who are credible should form a new constitution and support armed forces. It should take at least couple of years or more to establish a solid foundation of all the institutions in the country.

As there are speculations that a civil war between pro-Nawaz (also fundamentalist)forces in Pakistan will emerge to influence Pakistan with "Sunni" muslim state.

Gen.Musharraf and his allies should at the very first moment (probably even before publishing of this article)should "eleminate" fundamentalist who support Nawaz government and created disorder in the country under the name of religion and ethnicity.

People this time expect that this martial law should be diciplined one, unlikely, the martial law of Gen. Zia-ul-Haq who was the pioneer of creating a cancer of ethnic and religious discrimination. Zia's martial law never boosted the morale of the armed forces. Thanks to Almighty that He bestowed His mercy on the people of Pakistan by converting him into "ashes".

It is a hard task but for those who have strong will they certainly find their way. And for the intellectuals this is a time to "reconstruct" the country and should support those who are willing and trying to prosper Pakistan.
