US AND EUROPEAN NEWSPAPERS
-The Post-Star of Glens Falls. My local daily.
-The Christian Science Monitor. Not really religious,
contrary to what the name might imply. In my opinion, it is by far the top newspaper in the US
that I've read. Fair and thorough.
-The Guardian of London. The best
British daily. You may have to register for this site.

-Jubilee 2000, an organization
fighting for the elimination of the debt of developping countries as a step
so that those countries can... actually develop.
-The Triumph of
Evil. A site from the PBS Frontline documentary of the same name on the
Rwandan genocide, how it happened, how the international community buried its
head in the sand and how the major Security Council powers (notably France and
the USA) tied the hands of the United Nations' preventing an effective UN
response.
(these last three aren't NGOs per se, but they have information on children
related issues)
-Children of
conflict, a dossier put together by the BBC World Service.
-Child soldiers of Liberia,
an excellent dossier put together by Eric Beauchemin of Radio Netherlands.
-The Exodus, another excellent
dossier by Beauchemin and Radio Netherlands of the flight of rural children
in Ghana to the big cities where too many end up living on the street.
