Jewel was born May 23 1973, and was rasied in Homer, Alaska. She began performing at the age of 6, with her father, as a yodeling act. When Jewel was discovered she was playing in a coffee shop in San Diego. Her first album "Pieces of You" was recorded in 1994, but was released in 1995. Songs like "Who Will Save Your Soul", "You Were Meant For Me", and "Foolish Games" are all chart toppers. Her new album "Spirit" is now out. Jewel has 3 singles from Spirit, "Hands," "Down So Long," and "Jupiter." Spirit is being sold everywhere, so look for it.
