Due to Ahly team suspension after performing a tour in Palestine against Egyptian Federation decision, Title shared between Ahly & Zamalek,
This suspension delayed the start of 1944 Cup competition untill Ahly suspension was lifted on 19 April 1944,  In the 1944 Cup, Ahly reached final after beating Tanta, Canal Police & Cairo Sekka, While Farouk "Zamalek" reached final beating Ithad Suez, Olymypic then a walk-over vs Masry, Final was played on 2 June 1944, Zamalek winning 6-0

Cairo League 1938-1953


Before the start of Egyptian league in its current form, the main competition was the Egyptian Cup which started 1922. Egyptian federation started its 1st league competition (1938) in the form of regional leagues (Cairo,Alexandria,Bahary & Canal). The competition was played along with the new league form (1948-1953) then finally stopped. Five teams participated in this league Zamalek , Ahly , Sekka , Police & Greek Clubs
