1943 Cup Final Cancelled
Match cancelled due to Cairo player suspension mostly from Ahly & a few from Zamalek after performing a tour in Palestine against Egyptian Federation decision details
Title shared between Ahly & Zamalek,
This suspension delayed the start of 1944 Cup competition untill Ahly suspension was lifted on 19 April 1944,  In the 1944 Cup, Ahly reached final after beating Tanta, Canal Police & Cairo Sekka, While Farouk "Zamalek" reached final beating Ithad Suez, Olymypic then a walk-over vs Masry, Final was played on 2 June 1944, Zamalek winning 6-0

 

Season 1981/82

 cup was discontinued due to Stadium reconstruction before Zamalek / Ahly match in Semi final

 

Season 1993/94

 cup was discontinued due to the league finishing late and the FIFA World Cup started, round of 32 was finished except Zamalek / Zarqa match and round of 16 was finished except Match between Aswan and the winner of Zamalek / Zarqa

 

 

Egyptian Cup was not held in:
Seasons 1967/68 to 1971/1972 after 1967 War and during war of Attrition
Season 1973/74 due to time shortage after October War and Egypt hosting African Cup of Nations

Season 1979/80 due to very late finish of Egyptian league

Season 1986/87 due to a very tight schedule because of African commitments by National Team, Ahly, Zamalek & Tersana

Season 2011/12 due to Football suspension after Masry-Ahly match tragic events
