Science: Rocks and Minerals

Social Studies: Canada

Gym: Fitness, personal safety, soccer

Art: Line, colour

Drama/Dance: voice, focus, movement

IT: server access, word processing, email accounts

September’s Focus:

 

 

Variety of media forms used for instruction, documentaries, websites, field trips, historical fiction.

 

Demonstration of learning could take the form of reader’s theatre, tableau, mural, short story, or diorama.

 

Graphic organizers (KWL, Venn, etc.) used in art, social studies or science.

We have a busy but fun year of learning ahead of us.

In our classroom, you’ll see:

 

Appropriate time given during the week for science, social studies, art, music, computers, gym, and DPA.

 

Possible integration of literacy with the content areas (i.e. non-fiction reading/writing in science or social studies).

 

Consequence of misbehavior in one subject is not reason for losing privileges in another (misbehavior in math does NOT result in missed gym time).
