Game Track: Head Coach Jon Gruden coached Cadillac in the senior bowl and knew who he was drafting come April. Carnell was the third running back chosen in the draft. The thing Gruden likes most is that he doesn’t stop moving his feet. This was his motivation to play the way is playing.

On opening day to Buccaneers played the Minnesota Vikings. This would be Cadillac’s first game of his NFL career. He came into the game starting over eight-year veteran Michael Pittman. Cadillac was the premier player vs. the Vikings. He finished the game 148 yards 27 carries 1 touchdown and a 71-yard run near the end of the game. He got the most yards as a running back in the first three weeks and got rookie of the week the week three times in a row. In his second game against the Buffalo Bills he finished with 128-yards and a touchdown. When the Buccaneers went up to Lambeau Field to play the Green Bay Packers a big rivalry game Carnell was looking to set two NFL record. The most yards by a rookie running back in his first three games and the only player to start his career with three games a hundred yards or more. He rushed for 158 yards breaking and setting NFL records. His cleats ball and gloves went to Ohio to the hall of fame.

He played a little vs. the Loins but did not have a successful day. He missed week five and six. The Buccaneers have a week seven bye so that gives Cadillac more time to rest for the game against the 49ers.
