........A bit about the artist:Born in Bangalore in 1981,my early life was spent in India. I was then brought up and went to school in England. I graduated in History from Cambridge University before moving to London to pursue art; completing the Slade Alternative Foundation course and a diploma at Chelsea College of Art and Design.
I have a rewarding career in advertising and moved to New York in September 2004 for work. I love it!
........A little about the art:
Through both representation and abstract imagery, my work reflects my particular interest in people and cultures. It is a visual diary and an exploration of journeying. I find collage allows me to innovate and experiencing subjects afresh by close observation gives me new impetus. Using references to textile and substance, my mixed media paintings aim to be an expression of something of my own travels and existence.
