In the beginning
Where should we begin? Well lets go way back to when we were yct actually let go even further back to our original roots when we were tt(the titians). In the beginning with no knowledge of webdesign, I was able to accumulate a couple of really good friends in Reshad, Karl and tony. By working hard I was able to make a page for the team and recruit two more great players in john aka tt_riptide and mark which is now one of the best players in aos. We started small but with dedication to the game and showing that we're serious about having a team, we were able to get many players who had the desire to share the same goal.
Collapse of two great teams
After playing in yahoo for a couple of months, a name change was needed in order to show our greatness in yahoo. Therefore team yct(yahoo checker titians) was formed. This team was so big and with huge teams comes many mistakes. Many used progs and the macs at yahoo were at an all time high at this point. Yet yct stuck in there with a great showing of ten people on per a day. With the great attendance and problems going on in team boe(board of excellence)and team fca(finest checker alliance) we were able to add new additions to the team like paul(aos_hurtembad),Jacob(fca_fac3l3ss),and Rob(aos_lnsane).Then came the big barrier that none of us could withstand. Playbuddy.com brought a program called Yahoo Checker Buddy to yahoo and sooner then predicted it was all over yahoo. People cheated and tarnished the game that we've all fell in love with. With no desire to play in yahoo we saught other sites where we could play and renew that lost part of our lives. One day we heard of rumors regarding a fair and anti progging site and we all began to give it a try. It was in Kurnik where we were able to find that joy and the missing puzzle that we have been searching for. At the time we were still alternating between yahoo and kurnik due to the low amount of interested players at kurnik. Due to many comments regarding our name and what it stood for, a change was needed.With yahoo becoming worse and the numerous complaints about us having originated from such a dreaded place, Yct was no longer proud to be associated with yahoo.
Aos Begins!!!
One day Paul,Pat,Mark, and myself got together and did some brain storming and came up with a universal team name in aos.With the team name change and with so many loving yct, we suffered a huge drop of members. This was a big set back for us yet we stuck together and thru dedication in making one of the best team ever, aos started to grow. Aos is still growing and growing daily. With one goal and many dedicated players on this team, we hope to become one of the best teams in history..................
