
Scientists have announced that they will be sending a roving robots to Mars. The launch date is expected to be in 2011 but scientists estimated that it would not arrive the planet until the middle of 2013. The goal of the mission is to search for extraterrestrail life on Mars. It could be the first scientific intrument to show that we're not not alone in the Universe. As part of the program of European space exploration that in the near future, they could actually have samples of Martian rock being returned to earth in 2016. All of this would not happen unless the scientists persuade their govenrment leader that the project is worthed. Scientists are saying that if the mission is successful, could lead to more manned mission to MArs. The long term goal of the program is put people on mars in the 2030's.
Nasa have announced that they be launching an Environmental satellite. The time of the lift off is at 6:22 am May11, 2005. The location for the launch site is from Vandenberg Air Force Base, Calif. The satellite is call POES short for polar operating environmental satellite. The satellite is part of the development of a global earth observation program. The satellite will the foundation of a strong global rath observation system of Systems. It will help streghten our understanding of what our environment around the world is doing.
